LITTLE BAY
20 Feb 2019
The ambitious sustainable residential development at Little Bay, NSW, featured stunning state-of-the-art sandstone landscaping materials, supplied by Gosford Quarries.
The Little Bay Cove neighbourhood is a sustainable, residential masterplan that provides a diverse range of housing on a street grid that responds to the local coastal topography and environment.
The project includes many sustainable features. A large detention pond and wetland system run alongside a public park. The roads are designed as biostreets that filter water at the pollutant source prior to release into the wetland. Existing Eastern Suburbs Banksia Scrub, deposits of Miocene geology and ochre earth of significance to local Aboriginal people have been protected in order to maintain the site's heritage. Pedestrian connections to Little Bay Beach, Little Bay golf course and the NSW Coastal Walkway link the development to the wider region.
Gosford Quarries was instrumental in the development of this neighbourhood by supplying a wide range of sandstone landscaping materials that provide functionality, safety and aesthetic. They supplied landscaping logs (1000x500x500 and 2000x500x500) landscaping steps (Random(l)x350x180 or Random(l)x500x180) in addition to sawn dimension stone pavers.
Gosford Quarries supply a multitude of products that are suitable for a variety of applications and functions, crafted from beautiful, durable sandstone.
