MOORE POINT: SYDNEY'S NEWEST RIVER CITY
17 Dec 2024
Moore Point, located on the eastern banks of the Georges River in Liverpool, is set to become Sydney’s newest river city.

Developed by Coronotion Property, this new ‘mini city’ will include more than 11,000 homes, a vibrant retail and commercial precinct, a primary school and more than 10 hectares of riverfront parklands and landscaped open spaces.
The $9-billion redevelopment—one of south-west Sydney’s largest urban projects—has been fast-tracked under the NSW Government’s State Significant Rezoning Policy (SSRP).
Moore Point will be a focal point for the growing Western Sydney metropolis, reshaping the city’s eastern bank into a globally renowned destination. A multi-purpose community facility, public art and cultural spaces as well as a reimagined Riverfront Parklands, a foreshore walk, cycling trails and swimming spots will provide a vibrant, mixed-use and walkable 24-hour city centre with the Georges River at its heart.
Moore Point unifies both sides of the river to develop a well-connected urban precinct, building on the Liverpool Council’s vision to create a great river city, and reshaping Liverpool’s eastern bank into a globally renowned destination over the next 40 years.
Australia’s largest privately led urban renewal project, Moore Point is located in a former industrial site and is an easy walking distance across pedestrian bridges to the Liverpool CBD, Liverpool transport interchange, Liverpool Hospital and Liverpool Innovation Precinct.
