In supplying quality stone to a local landscaper to meet the practical and aesthetic needs of a new residential estate project, natural stone specialists Luxury Stone also gave residents a new community space to gather.
Using natural stone from Luxury Stone, landscape company Abelia Garden Maintenance & Landscaping constructed a small walled greenspace for residents of the Eastside at Highlands residential estate in Craigieburn, Victoria.
Positioned in the heart of the Highlands, with ready access to recreation, leisure and education, the Stockland development offers stylish townhouses, open parklands and a community-focused lifestyle. 
To meet the brief outlined for the development, the walled greenspace was constructed using Orion stone cladding and Bluestone capping from Luxury Stone. Abelia created a sturdy low-set wall with the stone that defines the space, capped by a smooth, flat bluestone top that offers an abundance of seating for residents as they gather in the communal space.
Chosen for their longevity and durability, the cladding and capping stone used offers a neutral yet textural finish that residents seem to enjoy.
Finished off with Irish strawberry trees and golden rain trees, which contrast nicely against the blue/grey of the stone, the new greenspace will stand to serve the community for many years to come.
