Speaker SpotlightMr Chris Thompson - Chris Thompson will be presenting his topic 'Greenfield Irrigation Development - Public / Private Partnerships' on Wednesday June 4.
Chris has been involved in water measurement, management and development since 1975. He has been heavily involved in irrigation since 1983 and after a stint on the IAA Board as National Education and Training Chairman he was lucky enough to be the initial IAA representative on the US IA Board of Governors and the inaugural IAA Certification Board chairman.
Chris is a passionate advocate for improving irrigation efficiency and productivity and initiated the first centre pivots to be installed in Tasmania in 1995 and he has spent much of the past 5 years working with the state owned company Tasmanian Irrigation to implement new irrigation developments in Tasmania.
