ONE-OF-A-KIND SPORTS FACILITY
27 May 2021
The new Indented Head Tennis Court and Basketball Facility has been entirely rebuilt and features a state-of-the-art Rebound Ace Synpave surface.
Officially opened in April, the new Indented Head Tennis Court and Basketball Facility has been delivered in part via a $66,000 City of Greater Geelong grant to the Indented Head Community Association. Bellarine Bayside also provided funds and in-kind project management.
In addition, Bellarine Bayside engaged Billy-Jay O’Toole, a proud Wadawurrung man and artist, to design artwork for integration into the outskirts of the court.
Matchpoint Systems, a California Sports Surfaces approved agent, was engaged to construct this court on behalf of the City of Greater Geelong and Indented Head Community Association. The rebuilt court features a state-of-the-art Rebound Ace Synpave surface on a new concrete base, along with two basketball towers, and modern standard fencing.
Rebound Ace Synpave, from manufacturer ICP Group, is an all-weather, slip-resistant, low-maintenance, durable acrylic system designed for application on both concrete and asphalt, ideal for a multitude of sports including tennis, netball, basketball, volleyball, and multisport. The UV stable colour range works equally well in both interior or exterior environments.
