WATERPROOFING MADE EASY

Scientific Waterproofing Products (SWP) recently applied MAXSEAL® TRAFFIC to a concrete roof deck at a vocational training centre in Canberra, after removing almost 60 tonnes of various waterproofing membrane layered over each other through the years.

After the substrate was cleaned, the first coat of MAXSEAL® TRAFFIC was spray applied and then broomed onto the soaking wet substrate with a Wagner PC 1030 spraying machine.

Light rain began to fall before the second coat was applied, creating a perfectly wet substrate that made for an easy application of MAXSEAL® TRAFFIC.  

The high-performing MAXSEAL® TRAFFIC is able to withstand both positive and negative hydrostatic pressure, and is extremely waterproof and dampproof. Serving as an excellent abrasion-resistant coating, MAXSEAL® TRAFFIC is ideal for surfaces that experience heavy wheel traffic including cars, forklifts and other industrial vehicles.

With superior water vapour diffusion, MAXSEAL® TRAFFIC does not form a water vapour barrier and prevents the appearance of air bubbles on floors. It has very strong adhesion directly to concrete with no primers or bonding agents required.

MAXSEAL® TRAFFIC is UV-resistant with outdoor colour-stability, is easy to use and has no maintenance requirements. The final fine-textured coating of MAXSEAL® TRAFFIC can be worked into different decorative finishes such as smooth, anti-slip and many other surfaces. Solvent-free, odour-free, non-flammable, non-toxic and environmentally friendly, MAXSEAL® TRAFFIC is suitable for application in poorly ventilated areas.
