Australian Concrete Mats were tasked with supplying a concrete block mattress to the underside of precast concrete blocks in Shute Harbour, QLD, to help with stabilisation and provide access for pedestrians.

An excavator levelled an area of 156 square-metres to place 54 Cable Block Mats that were then connected together using Cable Clamps. The mats were topped with sand to create a safe space for pedestrians and to help stabilise the blocks in place.

The blocks are easy to maintain and provide minimal hazards to the public, enabling pedestrians to safely walk over the mats.
