These wetlands make up part of the greater Oaklands Park Stormwater Reuse Scheme which has been developed to capture and clean stormwater from surrounding areas for storage and reuse.We were engaged by Bardavcol to deliver a range of landscape elements including unit paving, gabion planter baskets, permanent and temporary irrigation systems, terrestrial and ornamental maze planting and aquatic wetland planting.

Now almost nine months into our maintenance period, the area is thriving. The wetland with its large existing River Red Gums and around 85,000 new plants has become an area for recreation and a biodiversity hub, home to insects and frogs, and attracting birds of many kinds.
