Adelaide’s Riverbank Precinct has been undergoing a profound transformation over the last few years. The most recent and possibly the most dramatic changes have been made in the form of the Adelaide Oval redevelopment and the Pedestrian Footbridge.The Pedestrian Footbridge creates a link across the Torrens and allows pedestrians a direct connection to the city and riverbank facilities.

LCS Landscapes was engaged by the principal contractor McConnell Dowell on behalf of Renewal SA &‘DPTI to landscape all surrounds of the footbridge.

With the AFL season kicking off during the construction period, it meant that the footbridge and its fringe areas needed to be intermittently open to the public. This and the challenges common on many large infrastructure type projects, demonstrates our capability to deliver projects across a wide range of sectors.
