From Concept to Completion: Coppabella Village, QLD

Peabody Energy required a sound barrier around a mining village, in Coppabella QLD, as the miners' accommodation village was affected by the constant hum of passing coal trains from the adjacent railway tracks.

Modular Wall Systems reviewed the acoustic assessment and quickly concluded that a 3m high BarrierWall provided to be the most suitable acoustic solution for the site's requirements.

The Sales & Engineering team at Modular Wall Systems worked closely with Peabody Energy and as part of the preliminary phase presented a holistic proposal which included rendered 3D concept drawings, process flow diagrams, equipment selection and material layouts, structural certification and capital cost estimates.

Utilising 3D digital modeling as seen below, we were able to effectively demonstrate and help the client visualize all aspects of the project and the look and feel of the noise barrier in immediate, easily understood images.
