An ecological swimming pond in a garden in Driebergen, the Netherlands was named best private swimming pond 2016 by trade association VHG. The design of the winning pond includes Esthec^® Terrace. According to the jury of garden experts, the winning garden provides an optimal experience. ‘You feel as if you are in a flowery Dutch water landscape’ reads the jury’s report. The swimming pond belongs to a new house built in the classical style and forms the central axis of the garden. A surprising choice, which the jury said led to an excellent result, with the linear concept strengthening the impact of the planting. In the design, special attention was given to creating a flowing transition from the swimming pond to the garden.
