Kareela Tree Farm is a specialist grower and supplier of advanced field-grown Hoop Pine (Araucaria cunninghamii) for landscape, civic, development and infrastructure projects.
Located at Binna Burra in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Kareela Tree Farm has developed a substantial resource of advanced Hoop Pines specifically managed for successful transplantation and long-term landscape performance.
The farm specialises in established trees that provide an immediate sense of scale, maturity and landscape impact. With trees available from approximately 4 metres through to 10 metres in height, Kareela provides landscape architects, councils, developers and contractors with the opportunity to give projects many years head start compared with conventional nursery stock.

Hoop Pine is an iconic Australian native tree valued for its distinctive architectural form, longevity and adaptability to a wide range of landscape applications.
Kareela Tree Farm supplies advanced ex-ground Hoop Pines for projects including:

Trees are generally available in three height categories: 4–6 metres, 6–8 metres and 8–10 metres, subject to individual tree selection and availability.
Kareela works with landscape architects, landscape contractors, developers, councils and wholesale nurseries to assist with tree selection, project programming, harvesting, delivery planning and transplanting. Trees can also be selected and reserved in advance, enabling project teams to secure suitable stock and coordinate harvesting and delivery with future construction and landscape programs.
COMPOSITION AND PRODUCTION
Kareela's Hoop Pines are field-grown rather than container-grown, allowing the trees to establish naturally in the ground before being selected for transplantation.
Trees are mechanically harvested using specialist tree-spade equipment to produce a cohesive root ball. Each root ball is prepared using hessian and a purpose-built wire basket to provide stability and protection during lifting, transport and installation.
Kareela has invested significantly in specialist tree harvesting, handling and root-ball preparation equipment, allowing the farm to manage harvesting in-house and maintain greater control over tree preparation, quality and project scheduling.
Detailed planting, establishment and maintenance guidance is also available to assist contractors and clients following delivery.
