The 2016 Nursery & Garden awards program upholds the foundation principles of credibility and fairness and this year has again required entrants to demonstrate their point of difference and exceptional business practices.

"Over the years the awards program has continually evolved, requiring much more from the entrants. This is principally due to the changing industry environment and the subsequent demands put on businesses. Their conscious choice to strive for best practice, sound management, exciting marketing and uncompromising green life quality is particularly commendable" says Mike Mehigan, President of Nursery & Garden Industry Australia.
National finalists in the Group 1 categories of retail and production nurseries, together with finalists for the Heather Rumsey Young Leader award will shortly receive details of the second round of judging which is scheduled for January and February 2016 respectively.
The winners for all categories will be announced at the industry's night of nights on Wednesday 17 February at the Awards Gala Dinner at the Adelaide Hilton. The Gala Dinner will conclude the 2016 Nursery & Garden Industry National Conference which runs from 15 – 17 February.
Tickets for the Awards Gala Dinner are included with every full delegate registration. Additional tickets and individual ticket purchases are available by completing the appropriate section on the conference registration form available for download from www.ngia.com.au.
The Nursery & Garden Industry National Conference is held every two years and attracts industry delegates from around the country. The 2016 conference program will inspire and motivate with presentations on the latest research, production, marketing, and big picture issues affecting the industry as well as a panel discussion on industry’s state of play where you can also have your say.
The next national conference is not scheduled until 2018, so don’t miss out. You can register online now, or download the conference program and registration form from www.ngia.com.au.
It is with the great support of our conference and awards sponsors that this program is able to recognise the industry’s best and we thank them for their continued support.
Congratulations to all the finalists.
