AILA NSW 2009 Awards

The Australian Institute of Landscape Architects NSW held its 2009 Awards Night and Christmas Party on Thursday December 3 at Simmer on the Bay in Walsh Bay, Sydney.

According to AILA NSW President, Sacha Coles, 2009 was an exceptional year for landscape architecture. “When we stand back to review the work that has been completed this year, it is clear it has been a stand out year for our profession.”

“Ironically, amidst the largest global economic downturn in recent memory, we are witnessing a step-change in attitude, investment and the design of the public realm.”

The AILA NSW Project Awards are designed to promote and advance the profession of landscape architecture by fostering public awareness and recognition of the work of landscape architects; encouraging good practice by the members of landscape architecture profession; and creating local, regional, national and global recognition for Australian Landscape Architecture.
