Custom Craftsmanship Brings New Life to Ed Webb Park

The Landscape Construction Company (TLCC) delivered Stage 2 of the Ed Webb Park upgrade at Sunshine Beach for Noosa Shire Council. The project transformed the well-loved coastal park with new community facilities, improved accessibility and carefully considered landscape works.

Custom Craftsmanship Brings New Life to Ed Webb Park

Designed by Place Design Group, the project focused on improving the park's usability and resilience while retaining the character that makes it an important community space for Sunshine Beach locals and visitors.

A key feature of the upgrade is the construction of new timber decks and custom shelters, including tiered deck platforms, architectural timber elements and a custom bar overlooking the park. Working within extensive tree protection zones, TLCC constructed the pier footings, composite deck frames and timber structures with careful consideration for the park’s established landscape.

The broader works included new exposed concrete pathways, seating walls, park furniture, handrails and lighting, alongside the installation of water and electrical services. New gardens, planting and turf have further refreshed the space and created more inviting areas for people to gather. Below ground, the project also addressed important stormwater and erosion challenges. TLCC completed bulk earthworks, new kerb and channel construction and a bio-retention basin to improve stormwater quality and help protect the park over the long term.

Accessibility was another important consideration, with improved pedestrian connections and pathways creating easier movement through the park and between its new facilities. The result is a more functional, welcoming and resilient public space that responds to its coastal setting while providing new opportunities for the community to meet, relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Noosa Mayor Frank Wilkie praised TLCC’s professionalism and dedication in delivering the project to a high standard, while Noosa Council’s Project Manager described working with the TLCC team as one of their best project experiences.

Completed in August 2025, Ed Webb Park Stage 2 is now progressing to the judging round as a finalist in the 2026 Landscape Queensland Construction Excellence Awards, recognising the quality and craftsmanship behind its delivery.
