New Guidelines for Road Signage

New guidelines are being proposed by the Department of Planning & Development regarding digital signage on major transport corridors.

New Guidelines for Road Signage

The NSW Government Department of Planning & Development is seeking feedback on a proposal to make changes to the guidelines for outdoor advertising and signage around major transport corridors.

The proposed changes update the Transport Corridor Outdoor Advertising and Signage Guidelines to introduce specific criteria for new electronic signs. This includes new criteria for electronic signs to help minimise driver distraction and maximise road safety.

Transport corridors include major roads or railway corridors and land owned, occupied or managed by Roads and Maritime Services or Sydney Trains/NSW TrainLink

View and comment on the proposed changes at Transport Corridor Outdoor Advertising and Signage Guidelines until 31 January 2016.
