Perth Park the Next Link in the Chain

A new green space in the heart of Perth provides city workers a place to relax and take time out from their workday thanks to Deep Green Landscaping.

Perth Park the Next Link in the Chain

Deep Green Landscaping’s recently completed lush green space in the heart of Perth is the newest link in the chain of the extensive Perth City Link project.

Over the past few years Perth City Council has undertaken a major overhaul of the city with the Perth City Link project. The aim of the project is to revive the CBD and create a “dynamic new destination that embraces Perth's lifestyle”. While construction in various areas will continue into 2016, a series of plazas and gardens have already been erected throughout the city, offering new places to visit, meet with friends or just relax.

The brief for these dynamic new spaces included landscaping, natural features, plenty of greenery and public art. Deep Green Landscaping met this brief perfectly with the recent completion of Wellington Gardens.

Resplendent with a verdant lawn area, wide pathways for pedestrian ease and in-built seating, this small but well appointed park on Wellington Street is nestled between highrise buildings in the CBD. Setting it apart from the norm is the addition of an incorporated artwork of rolling artificial turf that features glow-in-the-dark banding throughout.

Perfect for city workers to enjoy an escape on their lunch break or residents from nearby apartments to relax outdoors, Wellington Gardens is a unique blend of greenery and art.
