The new Rheem RA Series heat pumps bring a new level of efficiency to the Australian market.

Designed to the Florida Minimum Energy Performance Standard of an efficiency (COP) of 4.0 at 10degC ambient, the COP increases to between 6.0 and 6.5 at 27degC. This is market leading and results directly in lowered heating costs.

The outstanding efficiency at colder ambients is achieved by an over-sizing of the unit’s evaporator, making the heater physically larger but size does matter with heat pumps. A larger “collector” area gives more heat capture as the air becomes colder making the RA units perfectly suited to Australian conditions.
