Supplied as a standalone cookplate unit, the system does not include solar panels, batteries, charge controllers or other power-generation equipment. This gives customers the flexibility to connect the BBQ to any compatible 24V DC power source that is correctly designed and sized to meet the electrical requirements of the cookplate.
The unit is supplied with an Anderson plug connection, providing a secure and practical connection between the BBQ cookplate and the customer’s 24V DC power system. The power supply, cabling and electrical protection must be appropriately specified for the BBQ’s operating requirements.
Unlike systems that convert stored DC power into AC power through an inverter, the Greenplate 24V DC BBQ operates directly from the DC supply. This avoids unnecessary power conversion and makes the cookplate suitable for integration into solar, battery and other off-grid electrical systems.
