The Southern Cross University Gold Coast campus is located in Coolangatta. Services had to be run into a 10 storey building housing a stormwater management system. To provide additional power to the internal storage tanks and pumps, a utility trench was designed to accommodate cables from the adjacent sub-station.

A key requirement was for the trench to offer unrestricted access for maintenance.

Designers specified ACO’s Rhinocast^® Trench Run. The cover & frame system also catered for the various bends along the trench route whilst being robust enough for the anticipated heavy wheel loads from service vehicles crossing it.
