The custom-designed Giant Treehouse play system installed at Ducie Street Park is made from a range of materials, a large portion of which have been sourced from recycled products here in Australia. Materials used include:

  • UV stable post-consumer recycled HDPE
  • Recycled timber plastic composite
  • Powder coated marine grade aluminium
  • Stainless steel fasteners
  • Roto moulded plastic
  • Powder-coated 304 stainless steel

The Giant Treehouse features a large slide, suspension bridge and a range of climbing ropes, nets and surfaces that will engage children across a range of ages.

The play area also features Willplay’s first-ever installed Spinning Orb, children can sit inside the frame of the orb or climb along the outside as the orb is spun from within. For the park’s littlest users, Willplay has installed a Littlies Train that allows for imaginative play. The train is also sustainably constructed from recycled post-consumer materials and heavy duty stainless steel fasteners.

Willplay also oversaw the installation of over 500-square-metres of PlayKote rubber softfall from Surfacing Contractors Australia. Colourful green and grey shades of the UV resistant softfall were selected to compliment the park's design.
