Westfield Garden City has undergone some serious refurbishment and Quatro Design was fortunate to play a part in manufacturing and supplying some truly unique planters and seat planter units.
The seat planters are an exclusive Westfield product designed by their own design team in Sydney and were initially made in white GRC (glass fibre reinforced concrete) for the Westfield Carindale refit in 2012. For the Garden City project, Quatro Design made the seat planters in GRC again, but with the addition of a dark oxide, and the top seat platforms in an Australian hardwood with a dark timber stain.
The Westfield design team also required Quatro’s SOUL flowerpots to be finished in a matt natural terracotta look adding colour and style to the food court areas, grouped with mismatched planters, furnishings and other visual merchandising props to create an eclectic, intimate space in an otherwise bustling suburban shopping precinct.
