Urban+ was commissioned by Classical Stone and the Catholic Diocese of Rockhampton to manufacture and supply the furniture requirements of the newly restored St Joseph's Cathedral.
The Cathedral has extensive beautifully landscaped gardens and courtyards where parishioners and visitors to the church are able to sit and enjoy the heavenly peace and tranquillity of their surroundings.
Urban+’s SB4 seat was the perfect choice not only because it is ergonomically comfortable, very low maintenance and extremely stylish but it was able to be customised to match the decorative architecture of the Cathedral windows.
The Cathedral gardens bring the Classical Heritage and the Modern Contemporary styles together. The heritage style TW02 drinking fountain perfectly complements the late 19th Century style of the cathedral where the modern Stainless Steel bike racks and tree grates provide a stunning contemporary contrast.
Urban+ was able to meet the brief of manufacturing and supplying off-the-shelf stylish, strong, durable and low maintenance outdoor furniture that was able to be customised to suit the surroundings, while retaining the highest quality and finish only fitting for such an outstanding piece of classical architecture.
