Ekodeck can be used for many applications in your outdoor space. Pool and spa decking is hot this season, and with Ekodeck it provides an excellent solution around a pool, spa or hot tub, and any areas leading up to it.
Ekodeck is great for this application because its mould and mildew resistant, weather resistant and also resistant to rot and decay.
Boards around a wet area will often see a lot of exposure to water from wet feet and splashing, so Ekodeck is perfect if you don’t want to maintain your deck.
Usually it is best for the pool or spa to be installed before the deck is installed to make the whole process more simple and accurate, and will help prevent any nasty or misguided corners or marks. It is still fine to construct your deck first, but this will need much more planning and calculation so be sure to give yourself enough time and put in the effort to get a great looking deck.
Pool decks are installed much like other decks, but extra care needs to be taken for any exposed areas. Make sure you use stainless steel screws and leave at least a 6mm gap between the boards. This allows for sufficient air flow in the area and allows the boards to dry quicker.
Maintenance is also easy. Hosing down the deck from chlorine and other matter after usage is recommended to keep your Ekodeck looking great all year round.
